Frequently Asked Questions
How do I qualify for the food pantry?
If you meet the federal poverty guidelines, you automatically qualify for our services. Examples of current poverty guidelines include but are not limited to pay stubs, fuel assistance, WIC, SNAP, Social Security / Disability, Subsidized housing, TANF, and unemployment.
What do I need to bring on my first visit to the food pantry?
Anyone 18 years of age and older is required to show ID and current proof of income. Proof of income includes any of the services listed above or your most recent tax return. You will also fill out our application during your first visit. You are welcome to print out our application and bring it in with you on your first visit. You can find our application on the Resources tab on this website.
When is the pantry open?
The pantry is available each Thursday 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Can I donate foods to the pantry?
Yes. We accept all foods that are unexpired and unopened. Please call ahead if you have a large load of donations from a food drive.
How do I make a monetary donation?
Click on our Donate tab on this website to be taken to our PayPal link and directions for sending a check.
Where do proceeds from the thrift shop go?
Proceeds fund our overhead expenses so that monetary donations can support our programs. This combination allows us to carry out our mission of fighting food insecurity and offering other life enriching programs for our clients.
Do you consign items?
No, we are a donation-only based nonprofit.
